Health 7 Steps to a Longer, Healthier Life In honor of my 45th birthday today (holy smokes, I’m old), I decided to share some of the best stuff I’ve found on extending your healthy life. There are a lot of crazy ideas out there on how to slow down aging. People are trying all sorts of supplements and drugs and are seeing some signs of effectiveness. Medical technology is improving at an amazing rate (just Google Ray Kurzweil to learn more) and technology will likely save us from many of the things that could take us out today. Also check out Human Longevity Inc. They have raised over $300M to dramatically improve healthy lifespans. But, let’s focus on what we can do now (excluding the crazy stuff). The Longevity Project is one of the most famous studies on longevity. It was started in the 1920s and has followed 1,500 American men and women studying how well they grew, lived and aged. The great thing about the results of the study is that the recommendations for a long and healthy life are very doable. Here they are:
