Going Mobile is a Requirement, Listening to Your Customers, 15 Power Phrases, Life Without Limbs

As a Christian business leader you want to accelerate your growth, profit, and witness in the marketplace (and build a better life!). Our goal is to bring you the best tips, tools, and techniques to do just that!

Let’s get started!

Business

Banks Must Be Great at Mobile – Check out the following stats according to new research by Bain. All businesses are trying to keep up with the “Amazon Effect” where consumers demand information on the status of, if not their actual purchases immediately from anywhere. This is happening in all industries. How will your business keep up?

  •  50% of consumers would miss their phone more than their wallet (80% in China and South Korea).
  •  Apps are 33% more likely to delight customers than branch locations.
  •  A branch visit is 2.3x more likely to annoy customers.
  •  Customers who use branches frequently are 3x more likely to switch banks.

“Hearing” from Your Customers – Banking customers are clearly stating that they want to do more of their banking via their mobile devices. It is the banks that listen and respond that will win. How are you listening and responding to your customers? I’ve found the Net Promoter Score to be an excellent tool for listening and measuring customer engagement. Here are 4 Reasons this tool is so effective.

Health

15 Phrases You Should be Saying – It is not the experiences we have, but how we experience them that determine our success and happiness in life. Every obstacle can be an opportunity if you keep the right mindset. Our minds are always going. There is always an internal dialogue that influences our thoughts, behaviors, beliefs, actions and outlook on the world. Here is a list of 15 Phrases that you might want to include in your self-talk. A few of my favorites:

# 2. I’m Never Too Busy – For the right things. Know what matters to you, say no to everything else.

# 4. I am Tough & Patient – This storm will pass. Endure and keep your eyes on your vision for the future. Trust God’s timing and the fact that all things (even the ones that make you miserable) are for the good.

# 7. I Will Stop Judging & Criticizing – We really have no idea what others are going through that is causing them to act the way they are. Give grace. It will be our turn soon and you’ll appreciate when someone extends that grace back to you.

Life, Fun, Whatever!

Life Without Limbs – Nick Vujicic (Voo-yee-cheech) is a tremendous inspiration. He was born with no arms and no legs. He has turned his disability into an international ministry and a professional speaking business.

In 2012 Nick married his beautiful bride Kanae. They now have two children together. His story is amazing, inspirational and always uplifting. A great reminder to keep looking up when we have troubles (no matter how small they may be in comparison). You can learn more about Nick here.

Here’s wishing you a great rest of your week!
